Time is precious, we all know that. Whether it's your everyday family moments or the business that you've built from the ground up, capturing those moments and sharing them with the world is crucial.
Creating a story and a visual narrative is integral to today's society which is the core of my expertise, and most importantly, my passion. To reference the beautifully written words of Susan Sontag "a photograph is not only an image (as a painting is an image), an interpretation of the real; it is also a trace, something directly stenciled off the real, like a footprint".
These words help me to communicate the importance of your presence online as your website is your footprint to the world, a direct stencil from the real. We can all feel days where our digital presence seems to burden us with this feeling of perfection, so I'm here to help my clients save time by getting things right the first time so they can focus on the more important moments of life.
Eduction done. Work experience done. It's my time now to show the world how it's done.
One of my most prevalent memories of school was my chemistry lessons, not because I was paying attention to anything the teacher was saying (sorry mum and dad), but because my time was spent redesigning the boring posters in my head. Looking and understanding how we view any aspect of life has been my core practice since university, where obtained a first-class photography degree as well as becoming part of the British Institute of Professional Photographers.
As well as my degree, I have over 7 years as a freelancer where I specialised in both photography and graphic design. Since working in London, my passion for building websites and understanding the importance of communication in the digital age is my passion. I now live part-time between London and North Devon with my partner, but my clients can take me to anywhere in the country - there's only so much you can tackle over the phone!
Lastly, I'm an avid baker and I absolutely love spending time in my country kitchen making cakes - which in the past I've shared with my clients! It's strange where you find peace in this world, but for me it's putting my music on and challenging myself to a good old baking session.
EVERYONE'S A PHOTOGRAPHER, RIGHT?
Any job executed with passion holds something special, and creating something new with my clients is simply what get's me out of bed in the morning.
Photography is so widely distributed now, meaning photographs can almost become saturated. My job is therefore to create the images you'd look twice at and most importantly remember!
There once was a time that I shied away from photography because the majority of conversations I had started with 'everyone can take good pictures now'. But it wasn't until I met my partner, where he helped me to understand that everyone can take a picture, but not every picture tells a story with an emotional connection like I can.
My job is to create visual stories online, that clients can use to share a little bit about them or their business with the world.
